Total employment increased by 9,000(+0.08%) in March to 11,494,000; moreover, it also increased by 54,000(+0.47%) when compared with that of the previous year.
The unemployment rate rose by 0.03 percentage points to 3.56 percent in March; moreover, the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate also rose by 0.01 percentage points to 3.59 percent. The number of unemployed persons was 424,000 in March, it increased by 4,000(+0.94%) but decreased by 11,000(-2.47%) from the previous month and that of the previous year, respectively.
Labor force participation rate rose by 0.02 percentage points to 59.20 percent in March; furthermore, it also rose by 0.01 percentage points from that of the previous year.
