Manpower Survey Results in February 2023

Total employment increased by 14,000(+0.13%) in February to 11,485,000; moreover, it increased by 27,000(+0.24%) when compared with that of the previous year.

The unemployment rate rose by 0.03 percentage points to 3.53 percent in February; however, the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate declined by 0.02 percentage points to 3.58 percent. The number of unemployed persons was 420,000 in February, it increased by 4,000(+1.01%) but decreased 14,000(-3.19%) from the previous month and that of the previous year, respectively. 

Labor force participation rate rose by 0.01 percentage points to 59.18 percent both in February and that of the previous year.
