Total employment in August 2022 was 11,402,000, which increased by 5,000(+0.04%) form the previous month’s level; moreover, it also increased by 3,000(+0.03%) from that of the previous year.
The unemployment rate rose by 0.01 percentage points to 3.79 percent in August 2022; the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate declined by 0.01 percentage points to 3.67 percent. The number of unemployed persons was 449,000 in August 2022, an increase of 1,000(+0.20%) but a decrease of 56,000(-11.10%) from the previous month and that of the previous year, respectively.
Labor force participation rate rose by 0.01 percentage points to 59.29 percent in August 2022; moreover, it also rose by 0.31 percentage points from that of the previous year.
