Questions concerning the operation of Industry and Service Census (census personnel identification, data confidentiality, survey methods)

1. The Industry and Service Census is conducted jointly by DGBAS and all county and city governments, and is implemented entirely by civil service personnel mainly including township (town/city/district) public office personnel and borough officers worked in those county and city governments. All participating personnel carry census badges certified by DGBAS to facilitate identification by companies.

2. The census forms are either filled out on the spot by census personnel during the course of visits or are done all by respondents with forms left, in which case the census personnel will arrange a time for the company to pick up the completed form. In order to keep the census forms clean, census personnel may provide copied forms for companies to fill out, and transcribe such contents to formal forms later on.

3. In accordance with the Statistics Act, all census data are only used for overall statistical purposes, and are never used for taxation or law enforcement.
