In April 2016, the total nonagricultural payroll employees, at 7,418 thousand, increased by 1 thousand (or 0.01%) from last month. In comparison with April 2015, payroll employees increased by 65 thousand (or 0.88%). The average payroll employees since January 2016 was 7,420 thousand, increased by 72 thousand (or 0.97%) than the same period of last year. The average monthly working hour for industry and service sector in April 2016 totaled to 162.3 hours, which decreased by 24.0 hours from last month and decreased by 10.5 hours from last year. The average working-hour since January 2016 was 163.8 hours, 3.8 hours less than the same period of last year. The average monthly regular earnings per employee within the industry and service sector in April 2016 were NT$39,241. Comparing with last month and a year ago, there was 0.08% increasing and 1.68% increasing respectively. The average monthly earnings (including regular and irregular earnings) in April was NT$43,560, decreased by 0.73% from last month and increased by 0.50% from last April. Comparing the same period of January to April over last year, the average monthly regular earnings of NT$39,057 was increased by 1.57%. And the average monthly earnings was NT$55,576, reduced by 1.16%.
