The average employment since January 2014 was 7,214 thousand, increased by 123 thousand (or 1.73%) than the same period of last year. The average monthly hours of work in April 2014 was 178.2 hours, decreased by 1.1 hours from last month and increased by 4.3 hours from the same month of last year. Since January 2014, the average working hours was 169.7 hours, increased by 1.3 hours than the same period of last year. The average regular earnings in April 2014 was NT$38,061, 0.29% more than last month and 1.55% more than the same month of last year. Average monthly earnings in April was NT$42,361, which was 0.82% less than last month and 1.60% more than the same month of last year. The average regular earnings since January 2014 was NT$37,871, which was 1.37% more than the same period of last year. The average monthly earnings since January 2014 was NT$53,769, increased by 4.73 percent than the same period of last year.
