In July 2014, the total nonagricultural payroll employment, at 7,305 thousand, increased by 54 thousand (or 0.74%) than last month. In comparison with July 2013, payroll employees increased by 149 thousand (or 2.08%). The average employment since January 2014 was 7,236 thousand, increased by 132 thousand (or 1.86%) than the same period of last year. The average monthly hours of work in July 2014 was 187.0 hours, increased by 14.0 hours from last month and decreased by 2.6 hours from the same month of last year. Since January 2014, the average working hours was 174.3 hours, increased by 0.2 hours than the same period of last year. The average regular earnings in July 2014 was NT$38,460, 0.69% more than last month and 2.33% more than the same month of last year. Average monthly earnings in July was NT$45,945, which was 7.95% more than last month and 6.75% more than the same month of last year. The average regular earnings since January 2014 was NT$38,036, which was 1.58% more than the same period of last year. The average monthly earnings since January 2014 was NT$49,708, increased by 4.45 percent than the same period of last year.
