In September 2015, the total nonagricultural payroll employment, at 7,409 thousand, decreased by 9 thousand (or 0.13%) than last month. In comparison with September 2014, payroll employees increased by 90 thousand (or 1.23%). The average employment since January 2015 was 7,374 thousand, increased by 119 thousand (or 1.64%) than the same period of last year. The average monthly hours of work in September 2015 was 173.5 hours, decreased by 4.7 hours from last month and decreased by 5.3 hours from the same month of last year. Since January 2015, the average working hours was 173.5 hours, 2.1 hours less than the same period of last year. The average regular earnings in September 2015 was NT$38,750, 0.06% less than last month and 0.95% more than the same month of last year. Average monthly earnings in September was NT$44,759, which was 0.27% less than last month and 0.85% more than the same month of last year. The average regular earnings since January 2015 was NT$38,631, which was 1.36% more than the same period of last year. The average monthly earnings since January 2015 was NT$49,977, increased by 3.00% than the same period of last year.
