Total employment increased by 11,000(+0.09%) in June to 11,518,000; moreover, it also increased by 146,000(+1.28%) when compared with that of the previous year.
The unemployment rate rose by 0.03 percentage points to 3.49 percent in June; however, the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate declined by 0.05 percentage points to 3.45 percent. The number of unemployed persons was 417,000 in June, it increased by 5,000(+1.03%) but decreased by 25,000(-5.80%) from the previous month and that of the previous year, respectively.
Labor force participation rate rose by 0.04 percentage points to 59.17 percent in June; furthermore, it also rose by 0.05 percentage points from that of the previous year.
