Industry and Service Sector Earnings Statistics in February 2020

i. In February, the total payroll employees were 7,981 thousand, decreased by 12 thousand (or 0.15%).
ii. The average regular earnings of full-time employees was NT$44,523 with Taiwan nationality (excluding the foreigners and part-time employees), increased by 2.55% than the same month of the last year. After adding the irregular earnings, the average total earnings was NT$52,026, decreased by 8.93% than the same month of the last year.
iii. The regular earnings of total employees (including full-time and part-time employees with Taiwan nationality and foreigners) was NT$42,317, increased by 2.62% than the same month of the last year. After adding the irregular earnings such as bonuses and overtime pays, the average total earnings was NT$49,505, decreased by 8.76% than the same month of the last year.
iv. In February, the working hours of all employees were 161.4 hours. Mainly affected by the Chinese New Year with more days off in January, the working hours of all employees increased by 32.6 hours.
