i.At the end of December, the total payroll employees was 7,630 thousand, increased by 9 thousand or 0.12% from last month. Comparing with the same month of last year, it increased 134 thousand or 1.79%. The average payroll employees in 2017 was 7,560 thousand, increased 111 thousand or 1.49% over the previous year.
ii.The average total earnings (regular and irregular earnings) of all employees（including nationals, foreign full-time employees and part-time employees）was NT$49,083, 2.84% more than last December. In 2017, the average total earnings was NT$49,989, 2.46% more over the past year. The average regular earning in December was NT$40,557, 2.08% more than last December. The average regular earnings in 2017 was NT$39,953, 1.82% more than in 2016.
iii.In December, the average total earnings of nationals full-time employees of (excluding foreign and part-time employees) was NT$51,795. Since with fewer working hours, the average total earnings of part-time employees was NT$19,096.
iv.The average working hour in December was 172.2 hours, 5.5 hours less than last month and 4.2 hours less than last December. The average working hours in 2017 was 169.6 hours, increased by 0.1 hours than in 2016.
