Total employment in August 2018 was 11,459,000, which increased by 16,000(+0.14%) from the previous month; moreover, it increased by 82,000 (+0.72%) from that of the previous year.
The unemployment rate rose by 0.06 percentage points to 3.87 percent in August 2018, the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate remained the same at 3.69 percent. The number of unemployed persons was 461,000 in August 2018, which increased by 8,000(+1.84%) from the previous month, it remained the same as previous year.
Labor force participation rate was 59.19 percent in August, which rose by 0.10 percentage points from the previous month; moreover, it rose by 0.18 percentage points from that of the previous year.
