Manpower Survey Results in February 2014

    Total employment in February 2014 was 11,019,000, which decreased by 17,000(-0.16%) from the previous month, in contrast, it increased by 104,000(+0.95%) from that of the previous year.

     The unemployment rate rose by 0.07 percentage point to 4.09 percent in February 2014, but the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was down by 0.02 percentage point to 4.05 percent. The number of unemployed persons was 470,000 in February 2014, an increase of 8,000(+1.70%) but a decrease of 13,000(-2.75%) from the previous month and that of the previous year, respectively.

      Labor force participation rate in February 2014 was 58.44 percent, down by 0.08 percentage point from the previous month, however, it was up by 0.12 percentage point from that of the previous year.
