Manpower Survey Results in April 2022

      Total employment in April 2022 was 11,415,000, which decreased by 25,000(-0.22%) form the previous month’s level; moreover, it also decreased by 109,000(-0.95%) from that of the previous year.

      The unemployment rate declined by 0.04 percentage points to 3.62 percent in April 2022; the seasonally adjusted unemployment declined by 0.02 percentage points to 3.68%. The number of unemployed persons was 429,000 in April 2022, a decrease of 6,000(-1.39%) and 6,000(-1.42%) from the previous month and that of the previous year, respectively.

      Labor force participation rate declined by 0.03 percentage points to 59.16 percent in April 2022; however, it rose by 0.01 percentage points from that of the previous year.
