Total employment in July 2019 was 11,511,000, which increased by 23,000(+0.20%) and 68,000(+0.59%) from the previous month and that of the previous year, respectively.
The unemployment rate increased by 0.09 percentage points to 3.82 percent in July 2019, however, the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate decreased by 0.02 percentage points to 3.72 percent. The number of unemployed persons was 457,000 in July 2019, which increased by 12,000(+2.70%) and 4,000(+0.91%) from the previous month and that of the previous year, respectively.
Labor force participation rate was 59.28 percent in July 2019, which increased by 0.16 percentage points and 0.19 percentage points from the previous month and that of the previous year, respectively.
