Manpower Survey Results in September 2020

      Total employment in September 2020 was 11,504,000, which decreased by 3,000(-0.03%) from the previous month; moreover, it decreased by 3,000(-0.03%) from that of the previous year.

      The unemployment rate declined by 0.16 percentage points to 3.83 percent in September 2020; moreover, the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate also declined by 0.05 percentage points to 3.78 percent. The number of unemployed persons was 458,000 in September 2020, which decreased by 20,000(-4.24%) but increased by 3,000(+0.68%) from the previous month and that of the previous year, respectively.

      Labor force participation rate was 59.12 percent in September 2020, which declined by 0.11 percentage points and 0.10 percentage points from the previous month and that of the previous year, respectively.
