Total employment in October 2014 was 11,120,000, which increased by 21,000(+0.18%) and 124,000(+1.13%) from the previous month and that of the previous year, respectively.
The unemployment rate slightly declined by 0.01 percentage points to 3.95 percent in October 2014, the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate also fell by 0.03 percentage points to 3.87 percent. The number of unemployed persons was 457,000 in October 2014, which decreased by 1,000(-0.23%) and 30,000(-6.16%) from the previous month and that of the previous year, respectively.
Labor force participation rate was 58.64 percent in October 2014, which increased by 0.07 and 0.12 percentage points from the previous month and that of the previous year, respectively.
