Total employment in October 2019 was 11,517,000, which increased by 10,000(+0.09%) and 57,000(+0.50%) from the previous month and that of the previous year, respectively.
The unemployment rate decreased by 0.03 percentage points to 3.77 percent in October 2019, the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate also decreased by 0.02 percentage points to 3.72 percent. The number of unemployed persons was 451,000 in October 2019, which decreased by 4,000(-0.84%) but increased by 5,000(+1.09%) from the previous month and that of the previous year, respectively.
Labor force participation rate was 59.24 percent in October 2019, which rosed by 0.02 percentage points and by 0.16 percentage points from the previous month and that of the previous year, respectively.
