Manpower Survey Results in December 2015

    Total employment in December 2015 was 11,242,000, which increased by 7,000(+0.06%) and 91,000 (+0.82%) from the previous month and that of the previous year, respectively.

     The unemployment rate in December 2015 was 3.87 percent, a decrease of 0.04 percentage points from the previous month, however, the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate increased by 0.04 percentage points to 3.88 percent. The number of unemployed persons was 453,000 in December 2015, which decreased by 4,000(-0.84%) from the previous month, in contrast, it increased by 14,000(+3.19%) from that of the previous year.

      Labor force participation rate was 58.72 percent in December 2015, a decrease of 0.02 percentage points but an increase of 0.08 percentage points from the previous month and that of the previous year, respectively.
