Manpower Survey Results in February 2017

    Total employment in February 2017 was 11,307,000, which decreased by 13,000(-0.12%) from the previous month; in contrast, it increased by 76,000 (+0.68%) from that of the previous year. The unemployment rate rose by 0.07 percentage points to 3.85 percent in February 2017, in contrast, the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate dropped by 0.01 percentage points to 3.83 percent. The number of unemployed persons was 453,000 in February 2017, which increased by 8,000(+1.81%) but decreased by 9,000(-2.00%) from the previous month and that of the previous year, respectively.

      Labor force participation rate was 58.75 percent in February 2017, which decreased by 0.04 but increased by 0.09 percentage points from the previous month and that of the previous year, respectively.
