Total employment in October 2022 was 11,410,000, which increased by 13,000(+0.12%) form the previous month’s level; however, it decreased by 35,000(-0.31%) from that of the previous year.
The unemployment rate declined by 0.02 percentage points to 3.64 percent in October 2022; the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate remained constant at 3.64 percent. The number of unemployed persons was 431,000 in October 2022, a decrease of 2,000(-0.51%) and 25,000(-5.46%) from the previous month and that of the previous year, respectively.
Labor force participation rate rose by 0.01 percentage points to 59.18 percent in October 2022; moreover, it rose by 0.16 percentage points from that of the previous year.
