Industry and Service Sector Earnings Statistics in February 2022

i.At the end of February, the total payroll employees were 8,146 thousand, decreased by 23 thousand (or 0.28%) than the previous month because of the job transfer and the separation of temporary employees around the Chinese New Year. From January to February, the total payroll employees were 8,158 thousand, decreased by 1 thousand (or 0.02%) than the same period last year.
ii.In February, the average regular earnings of full-time employees with Taiwan nationality (excluding the foreigners and part-time employees) was NT$46,233, increased by 2.42% than the same month last year. The irregular earnings was NT$5,308. After adding the irregular earnings, the average total earnings was NT$51,541. From January to February, the average regular earnings was NT$46,485, increased by 2.68% than the same period last year. The average total earnings increased by 2.20% than the same period last year.
iii.In February, the average regular earnings of all employees (including full-time and part-time employees with Taiwan nationality and foreigners) was NT$43,889, increased by 2.49% than the same month last year. The irregular earnings was NT$5,114. After adding the irregular earnings, the average total earnings was NT$49,033. From January to February, the average regular earnings was NT$44,123, increased by 2.69% than the same period last year. The average total earnings increased by 2.42% than the same period last year.
iv.In February, the working hours of all employees were 130.1 hours. From January to February, the working hours of all employees were 148.8 hours, decreased by 0.9 hours than the same period last year.
